CV redaction for fair hiring teams.

NullifyCV removes names, addresses, graduation years, and other bias signals from CVs — entirely in your browser. Built for UK recruiters and HR teams running structured, Equality Act-compliant hiring workflows.

How it works

Redact a CV in a few clear steps

Upload a PDF or DOCX. Choose your redaction mode. Download the anonymised file. CV files are processed locally. Payments, licence checks, analytics and error reporting use online services.

1

Upload the CV

Drag a PDF or DOCX onto the tool. The file is read into browser memory only — it never leaves your device.

2

Choose a redaction mode

Standard PII, Bias Strip, Client Submission, or EEOC Blind Review. Each mode removes a different layer of identifying information from the CV.

3

Processed in your browser

pdf.js and pdf-lib draw black redaction bars over PII positions directly in the original file — preserving layout, fonts, and formatting.

4

Download the redacted CV

The redacted file downloads directly to your device. The Blob URL is immediately revoked — nothing is retained or cached.

Basic single-file redaction is free with no account required. Single CV costs €2.99 for all redaction options on one source file. Annual batch access costs €49/year for unlimited processing with up to 200 CVs per batch, ZIP downloads and workflow logs.
PDF and DOCX (Word) files are fully supported. For PDFs with a text layer, black redaction bars are drawn directly onto the original file preserving layout. Scanned PDFs should be exported as DOCX first.
Annual batch access costs €49/year and allows unlimited processing with up to 200 files per batch. It includes redaction settings, ZIP downloads and application-generated workflow logs; those logs are not independent compliance certificates.
