Terms of Service

NullifyCV · Last updated: September 2026 · Governed by Dutch law

📋 Plain English summary: Use the tool legally and fairly. We provide it as-is. Paid access and any applicable consumer rights are described below. You own your files — we never touch them. Dutch law applies.

1. Agreement

By accessing or using NullifyCV at nullifycv.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by NullifyCV, based in the Netherlands ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of the Service

NullifyCV is a browser-based tool that redacts selected personal information from CV and resume files for privacy-conscious sharing and blind review. The redaction workflow processes CV files locally and does not upload them to NullifyCV. Payments, licence checks, analytics and error reporting use online services as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided on a freemium basis. A free tier is available without registration. Paid plans unlock additional features as described on the pricing page.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process files you do not have the right to access or modify
  • Disrupt the hosted service or attempt to obtain another customer’s payment credentials; source-code use remains governed by the MIT licence
  • Use automated tools to access the Service at a rate that disrupts its availability for other users
  • Misrepresent the output of the Service as certified compliance documentation
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law

4. Your files and data

You retain full ownership of any files you process through the Service. CV redaction occurs client-side in your browser: NullifyCV does not receive or access the CV through the redaction workflow. Temporary checkout restoration also stays in your browser. Online payment, licence, analytics, error-reporting and support data are handled separately as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any CV or personal data you submit to the tool, including compliance with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) in your jurisdiction.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

5.1 Prices and payment

Single CV access costs €2.99 once. Batch access costs €49 per year. Prices are in EUR and include applicable tax. Stripe handles checkout and payment details. Existing purchases retain their original terms.

5.2 Single CV

Single CV unlocks all available redaction options for one selected source file. You may correct redaction selections and download that file again. It is not a subscription. A different source file requires another purchase. Access is remembered in the purchasing browser. Automated recovery and device transfer are not currently available; keep your receipt and contact support to verify the purchase and discuss available options. Do not send a CV for payment support.

5.3 Annual batch access

Batch access includes unlimited processing while paid access is active, with a limit of 200 files in each batch. The subscription renews annually until cancelled. Manage renewal through the billing link in the tool or contact support. Cancelling renewal keeps access through the paid period. Failed payments can suspend access; online verification is required.

5.4 Problems and refunds

If payment succeeds but access or processing fails, contact support@nullifycv.com with your receipt. We will investigate and provide an appropriate remedy, which may include restoring access or a refund. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable withdrawal rights. Starting use does not by itself waive those rights.

5.5 Changes

Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days notice before a price increase applies to a renewal. You can cancel renewal before it takes effect.

6. Intellectual property

The NullifyCV source code is open source and licensed under the MIT License. You are free to view, fork, and use the code in accordance with the MIT License terms.

The NullifyCV name, logo, and brand elements are not covered by the MIT License and may not be used without permission.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will detect all PII in every document
  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Use of the Service will satisfy your legal or compliance obligations

The audit log and compliance references in the Service are informational tools — they do not constitute legal advice or certification of compliance. Consult your DPO or legal counsel for formal compliance assessments.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, NullifyCV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, compliance failures, or business losses.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
